Ryan Caves to DSA - Flip-Flops on Israel, What's Next?
KINGSTON, N.Y., July 21, 2026 — Jackie Auringer today accused Congressman Pat Ryan of caving to the Democratic Socialists of America, pointing to his reversal on Israel as just the latest proof and asking what he will cave on next.
During his 2024 debate against Alison Esposito, Ryan was asked if there was anything Israel could do that would cost it his support.
*Moderator:* **"Is there anything or any action Israel could take that would make you lose support for the Jewish state?"**
*Ryan:* **"Not that I, not that I can think of."**

Less than two years later, Ryan is distancing himself from Israel's supporters and shifting his positions, right as the antisemitic DSA and the party's far-left flank ramp up pressure on Democrats to fall in line.
"This isn't about Pat Ryan changing his mind," Auringer said. "This is about Pat Ryan getting pressured by the DSA and folding. He gave voters a straight answer in that debate, and now he's caving to the loudest, most radical voices in his own party."
She added, "Pat Ryan is just another useless politician who will do anything, say anything and sell out anyone to get to higher office. The question is what he caves on next?"
Auringer said Ryan owes voters a direct explanation: did his views genuinely change, or is he simply doing what the DSA and the socialist wing of the Democratic Party demand of him?
"Hudson Valley voters deserve a representative who answers to them, not to the extremists who are dominating the Democrat party."
