Pat Ryan's Campaign Lies: His Campaign Said He Has Not Traded Any Stocks Since Becoming a Member of Congress.

KINGSTON, N.Y. — August 17, 2026 — Pat Ryan's campaign has a new explanation for the Congressman's extensive individual stock portfolio: it claims he hasn't traded any stocks since entering Congress.

There's just one problem.

Pat Ryan's own financial disclosure says he did.

In response to questions about Ryan's newly disclosed six-figure Tesla investment, a Ryan spokesperson said:

"Pat has not traded any stocks since becoming a member of Congress and is fighting for a ban on congressional stock trading to start cleaning up the corruption in Washington."

As reported in NOTUS, Ryan's own Periodic Transaction Report identifies a July 31, 2024 sale of between $15,001 and $50,000 in the AI company OnSolve LLC shares, a private stock investment held through VCECN Holdings LLC. Ryan was serving in Congress at the time. The PTR was not digitally signed until over a year later on October 10, 2025.

House Ethics rules require covered securities transactions exceeding $1,000 to be disclosed by the earlier of 30 days after the filer learns of the transaction or 45 days after the transaction. House guidance further states that late PTR filings are subject to a fine.

Auringer, who supports a total ban on Congressional stock trading, ripped Ryan's latest hypocrisy.

"Pat Ryan not only voted against a bipartisan bill to toughen congressional trading, he also violated the pathetically weak law on the books and then tried to lie about it," said Auringer.

That raises two straightforward questions for Congressman Ryan:

**1. How can Ryan's campaign claim he has not traded any stocks since entering Congress when Ryan's own disclosure reports that he sold OnSolve shares while serving in Congress?**

**2. Can Ryan provide proof he paid the STOCK Act fine associated with the OnSolve transaction?**
