Auringer Calls on Pat Ryan to Return $700,000+ in AIPAC Contributions

Campaign Staff

KINGSTON, N.Y. - July 29, 2026 - Republican congressional candidate Jackie Auringer today called on Congressman Pat Ryan to immediately return more than $700,000 in campaign contributions tied to AIPAC and affiliated supporters, arguing that Ryan should honor his commitment to return the financial support of donors after abandoning the position that earned it.

Ryan previously pledged to return campaign contributions connected to executives of an ICE contractor after facing public criticism - a pledge he has yet to fully honor. Now, after breaking with AIPAC and reversing his previously stated unequivocal support for Israel, Ryan has also pledged to return AIPAC-related contributions. Auringer said the repeated pattern raises serious questions about Ryan's credibility.

"Pat Ryan doesn't stand for anything other than what's good for Pat Ryan in the moment," Auringer said.

"When campaign contributions help him politically, he takes them. When they become politically inconvenient, he promises to give them back. It's the same political playbook every time."

Auringer called on Ryan to publicly disclose the total amount of AIPAC-related contributions accepted by his campaign, the amount that has actually been returned and a timetable for returning any remaining funds.

"Pat Ryan broke his promise to unequivocally support Israel," Auringer said. "He should return the money to the donors who believed he would keep that promise."
